New Trimmer and This month's offers

A new trimmer from Stampin' Up! is now available. See the video below for more details.  The one in the video is the American version and measures in inches only, our trimmer has the added advantage of having metric measurements as well.

Catalogue No. 129722 price £25.95.  I have mine ordered and it should arrive soon.

The offer this month is a free set of inkpads - choose from Brights, Regals or Subtles when your workshop sales total £325, this is in addition to the usual great hostess benefits. Click on the "Ink-redible!" link on right to see more information.

Craft Room Update

Just a quick update on progress of craft room.  It's above the garage.  I am lucky that the slope of the roof is above head height so I have the full width of the garage for space.  The electrician will be putting in 2 4m track lights, each with 4 spotlights and lighting above worktops at sides of the room.  In addition to the front window there are two velux windows so there is plenty of light (at this time of year up to 4pm, so I am very happy with it.  Completion date is 4 January.

I am sooo looking forward to this.

Craft Room To Be

At the end of day 2 (Friday), the foundations are dug and the concrete is poured, they are coming back on Tuesday to start building walls.

Don't worry I will only update progress occasionally, you will not be getting daily updates, lol.  It's just that I'm very excited that work has finally started.

Problem with Posting Pictures

Thought I'd show you pictures of the cards I have made for swaps at Leadership Training I am attending on Saturday.  For some reason Blogger is not giving me the option to upload any pictures,  it is not loading the editing bar completely.

The cards are A6 landscape, they have Early Espresso base, Bashful Blue matt and Whisper White embossed with Snowflakes.  The snowflakes have been enhanced with drops of Dazzling Details.  Dazzling Details is a new glitter glue from Stampin' Up! available to purchase from 1 September.  I really love it, it is loaded with quite a fine silver glitter and dries reasonably quickly, touch dry in approx 30 minutes.  An easy way to add glitter to your cards that will not fall off in the envelope.

I will post photo as soon as I can, although I'm not sure the picture will do justice to the sparkle from the Dazzling Details.

Christmas Card Club

At the first meeting we made four punch art cards.  The Ornament Punch (119847  £15.50) was used on three of the four cards.  We will be making more cards using the ornament punch, it really is very versatile and not just for Christmas.
The Elf Card was cased from Connie Babbert and the 3d Bauble Card was cased from Alison Langford.  If you recognise either of the two other cards as your design, please let me know and I will give you credit.

Please contact me if you wish to purchase any of the supplies used in the card/papercraft clubs.

Anniversary Card

I had a last minute anniversary card to make last week, I used the owl punch, basic black and whisper white card stock and Neutrals paper stack.  I am quite pleased with the way it turned out considering the short time I had to make it.

Thanks for looking,

Holidays and back to normality

Hi All
I have just returned from a great holiday, 10 day cruise to Iceland, Torshavn on the Faro Islands, and Lerwick in the Shetlands. The weather was great and have got some sunburn.  There were 3 crafting sessions on the ship and I will be incorporating one of the projects (bead weaving) into the weekend at Belleek in November. (see Other Events for details - places still available).

The clubs will be getting back to normal, with the Papercraft Club tonight working with Stampin' Up! pastels.  Places are filling up for the Christmas Card Club on 2 August, only a few remaining and there are still places in the Scrapbook Club, 27 July.

Sunset at midnight!!

Bye for now,

SU Demos are friendly everywhere

Hi all, I met up with an american demo, Becky Watkins, here in Iowa.  She lives within 10 minutes walk from my daughter.  As soon as I contacted her she invited me round to meet and craft with her and took me to one of her Card Buffets she does in the next town.  We not only crafted but shared business ideas and will be meeting up again before I leave.  She has been generous with her time and knowledge and has got me thinking for when I return.

Happy crafting
