Yahoo have managed to fully restore my emails and contact list. My email is working and safe to use. Just please believe that I would never ask, outside my family, for money like that. Leaving that aside it's business as usual.

My Email has been hacked into
Hi All
Just to let you know my email has been hacked into and emails have been sent out saying I am in various countries needing money for hotel bills and flights. Please just delete if you get such an email. I am at home and will be until late January. I am sorry for any inconvenience you may have had. As a result of the hacking all my contacts were deleted. Please email me if you wish to be on my mailing list, I have a newsletter ready to be sent out and there will be exciting Stampin' Up! news on 1 January. I: would very much like to thank all those who contacted me to let me know about these rogue messages so that I could try to get it sorted out as soon as possible.
I would also like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and hope we will be in touch then.

Becoming a Demonstrator?
Have you thought about becoming a demonstrator? Who would you sign up with and why?
It is true that it is a good idea to sign up with a very successful demonstrator with a large team for help and support. These demonstrators work tirelessly and are only a phone call away when you need advice, encouragement or just a shoulder to lean on. When considering who to sign up with I would urge you to consider location. Will you be able to attend their training sessions? Would you be happy to only have telephone conference training? Would you not rather meet up with other demos on a face to face basis, swap cards and ideas, share stories of workshop nightmares/successes? Then consider finding a demonstrator who lives close to you, talk to her, find out her style and if that is compatible with your own, help her build a team and together you can go forward to success.

Christmas Card Club
The next set of cards from the Christmas Card Club.
Back Left - Very simple card using stamp from Season of Joy and Rich Razzleberry ink attached over 1.25" Rich Razzleberry grosgrain ribbon. Cardstock Whisper White.
Back Right - After stamping the tree we masked the tree and used the stamp-a-ma-jig to position Santa. Cardstock used was Garden Green, Real Red and Whisper White. Inks Used Garden Green, Real Red and Daffodil Delight. Unfortunately the two stamp sets used are no longer available. (A Holly Jolly Holiday and Wonderous Gift.)
Front Left - 2 minute card (or longer if you can't tie bows).
Wrapped candy cane with Real Red ribbon tied in a bow, adhered to the card with mini glue dots. Greeting stamped in Poppy Parade. Cardstock Poppy Parade and Whisper White.
It was suggested that this card could be altered for grumpy husband by changing cardstock to Basic Black and Very Vanilla, atttaching a Mint Humbug and handwriting Bah-Humbug with the black Journaling Pen (and no bow).
Front Right - Easel card. We made a mask to separate the foreground snow from the sky. The sky was created by using Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie and Real Red re-inkers on a baby wipe and applied to glossy card. Using the stamp-a-ma-jig we then stamped the trees in the background and the children with the sleigh. Then also using the stamp-a-ma-jig we created the shadow. Greeting was stamped, cut out and adhered to card with dimensionals. Cardstock used Whisper White, Basic Black, White Glossy Card. Images and greeting were stamped with Black Stazon Ink. Stamp set used was Welcome Christmas.
My thanks again to all who so generously share their work, some of which I have cased.
I can't beleive that we completed this class so much quicker than the last one - methinks that not using glitter may be the answer ...

Christmas Card Club
The Christmas Card Club got off to a good start with full attendance. There was a draw for a small prize, which was a two way glue and a pot of Dazzling Diamonds glitter. There was lots of laughter and sharing of ideas along with chocolate cake. I really enjoyed the evening and am looking forward to the next one. Four cards were made on the night and packs to make another set he same were taken home to complete. Eight cards ready for Christmas - I've never been so far ahead. Thank you all for coming and making this a success (and my dining room so glittery). As promised here are the cards we made

Christmas Card Club
Just to let you know that the first meeting has been fully booked. I am really looking forward to this Thursday, and hopefully, getting the club off to a good start. I have the first four cards all prepared and packed up ready to go. The cards we are making will be posted later this week. Remember to book for future meetings. The next one will be held on Thursday 25th August and I will be starting to work on the cards very soon.
This club gives me a good excuse to start talking about Christmas, my husband often complains when I watch Christmas films in July and say things like "we could do that.." Anyway must go now and start looking out the CDs, (Edwin really will be pleased -" bah-humbug" I can just hear him now).

New Christmas Card Club
Hi All
How would you like to hand make all your Christmas Cards this year? I know that I usually leave it too late to make all my cards and end up buying them at last minute, so this year I am starting a Chrismas Card Club in July, eight cards a month with dedicated time to do them is so doable (not sure that's a word but it works for me).
Click on the Christmas Card Club tab at top of the page for more details. You will be able to purchase packs if you are unable to attend. Pictures of the completed cards will be posted after each meeting.

At Dunsilly Hotel 11th June
Well here, at last, are some details of the Stampin' Up! Experience we held on 11th June. We used the Strength and Hope stamp set from the mini catalogue to make two projects. A card and a wallet shaped gift card holder.
Gina demonstrated the Scallop Envelope Die for the Big Shot. She showed how to make the envelope, how to make the envelope longer and how to make the cute boxes holding 2 After Eights that we had given to everyone atending the event.
Emma demonstrated the Extra Large Owl Punch. She showed several examples of different ways to use it - as the owl, as tulips, animal shapes such as lion, hippopotomus and penguin. She also showed us how use it to make a beautiful rose.
There were three prize draws and the prizes were a stamp set and a set of 20 card blanks, 2 in each of the 10 colours from the Subtles collection. Gina decorated the beautiful gift bags the prizes were in.
Everyone enjoyed the day and are looking forward to the next one.

Why I haven't posted for a while -
Well here she is, my granddaughter Carey, approximately 3ft of pure energy. I had a lovely month with my family visiting, my son over from Scotland, my daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter over from USA. A full house but lots of fun. Carey had a list of activities that needed to be included - lunch at Tescos, picnic in mountains, new shoes from Clarkes, mountain boots, and swimming were at the top of the list. I think we topped this by taking her, with bicycle to Tollymore Forest for two nights in the motorhome. We left mummy, daddy and uncle to their own devices. Very enjoyable, but did leave us feeling tired and very old. We loved every minute of it.
We also attended Pamela's graduation ceremony at the Waterfront Hall. We are very proud of her. My son-in-law took this photo.

King's Hall
Thanks to all who visited our stand. We really enjoyed the three days on the stand and are looking forward to being able to help with all the requests we received. If you have not yet been contacted, you will be soon.
I have just visited a new craft studio, just 4 miles from Banbridge, which would be ideal for Saturday workshops with about 15 people in the mid Down area. Packed lunch could be brought or it would be possible to pre-order soup and sandwich or stew. Please let me know if you would be interested in attending these.
Gina, Alice, Emma and I are meeting on Thursday evening to finalise details for our Experience event at the Dunsilly Hotel on 11th June, price £25 which will include the Strength & Hope stamp set from the current mini catalogue, more information to follow.

Gina and Joy's Stampin' Up! Experience
We held this event on Saturday 15th January. We really enjoyed it and the response we got from all who attended has encouaged us to run more events like this. We will be taking a stand at the King's Hall in April and hope to promote the next Experience at this.
Thanks to all who attended and made this such a success, we really hope you enjoyed this as much as we did. We hope you will come to the next one and encourage your friends to come with you. I would also like to thank Paula Gorry, UK Country Manager, who gave us tremendous support and kindly accepted our invitation to join us on the day, Gina and I really appreciated her giving up her time to be there.
We had two make and takes - a 6" scrapbook page and a spinner card using Party this Way stamp set, Gina demonstrated Faux Silk technique and I demonstrated how the Extra Large Bird Punch could be used to make a variety of embellishments that could be used on either cards or in scrapbooks. We had a total of 6 prizes which included a stamp set, a Stampin' Around Wheel and Handle and 12x12 In Colour Cardstock, 12x12 In Colour Designer Paper and an Ink Pad. Everyone also received a litle bag containing a Lindt chocolate.
